Grabbing Opportunity In Crisis

A village was facing increased attacks from robbers. In search of ending this crisis, villagers approached a Swamy who entered the village recently. After a brief talk about the issue and its seriousness Swamy assured them that he will perform a “Yagna” and requested every family of the village to contribute Rs 5 towards expenses. He collected the amount and left into forest.

After sometime, the Swamy returned to village and said he is short of money for Yagna and asked them to contribute Rs 10 for expenses. Suspecting this villagers asked about the location where Yagna is taking place. Swamy answered them by saying it is in the deep dense forest and left the village. But the problem remained same.

Once again Swamy returned to village and this time he demanded Rs 20 towards of expenses of Yagna, which made villagers angry and they immediately went to their homes and returned with weapons like swords, axes, sticks to attack Swamy whom they suspect as one of the member of robbers gang. In high pitched voice they threatened Swamy to kill if he failed to provide full details of Yagna and its progress.

In this charged atmosphere Swamy laughed and made them to sit and relax. Then he said “Now, I have completed my Yagna,” and returned the total collected amount. Villagers were surprised and questioned what does it mean. Then Swamy explained by saying the entire village got united to kill me, because you suspected me as member as robber, but you were silent when real robbers were looting your village. He suggested them to show the same courage and teach a lesson to robbers with “Hara Hara Mahadev” slogans. Villagers realised this and acted as advised by Swamy. After couple of incidents villagers were successful in overcoming the crisis of robbers.

Power of energy is sleeping in everyone, just we need to awaken it to get into action.
