The unfolding events in Afghanistan are victory signs for the Taliban. Instead of acknowledging how Taliban regrouped its forces and strengthened in the last 20 years to regain the political power which they lost to US forces in 2001, the media manufactured a narrative that this was a failure of America in 2021.
Nearly
100 years ago, the communists led by Lenin toppled Czar, Maoists captured
Beijing, Castro and his team took victory laps in the streets of Cuba and
several political changes across the globe were termed as victory of fighting
forces. The intellectuals and academicians of those times and today’s media
welcomed all these developments since then and successfully documented the
fighting spirit of leaders and cadres who were part of these historical
political transitions. They branded these battles as a victory of Communist and
nationalists forces and distributed such literature across the world.
Unfortunately,
today's global intellectuals and academicians including the media are not
acknowledging the victory of Taliban forces with similar spirit for reasons
unknown.
Toppling
any government with physical and military force is never an easy task. It
requires a lot of strategy, resources, commitment of leadership and political
clarity of thought. It seems the Taliban has achieved all this with the
tremendous success of their forces in toppling the democratically elected
government within 40 days of their declared march towards Kabul.
Taliban
openly promised to introduce the Islamic Sharia law across the country for the
wellbeing of their citizens. Their march to Kabul is a crystal clear statement
that they never trust in democratic system.
As these unfoldingdevelopments are in the air the most suspecting part at this juncture is why the world is not welcoming what Taliban and citizens of Afghanistan wanted. They have been fighting for their country under the banner of Taliban for two decades.
What
is wrong if Taliban want to enforce Islamic sharia law and demanding every
citizen of their country to follow only Islam, religion of peace?
The
source of inspiration for Taliban is Islam; all through their struggle they
were public about it.
If
the world is not supporting Taliban, it means there is something wrong with
their source of inspiration i.e Islam and Islamic Sharia Law.
In
the last decade, most global cities witnessed several rallies and received
petitions from the local population demanding for introduction of Sharia law in
their respective countries.
If the world is OK with Sharia law in Saudi and Pakistan, why not support the same in Afghanistan?
Branding
happenings in Afghanistan as failure of US Policy and suspecting the neighbouring
country Pakistan is an insult to Taliban and their Islamic political ideology.
Currently,
there are over 50 Islamic countries in the world, why the world is crying for a
country’s internal changes that is embedded with Islam.
