Following a steep hike in the
onion prices to Rs 70-80 per Kg in India, Chinese entrepreneurs are on toes to
grab this wonderful business opportunity and made promises that they are ready
to export Chinese made onions to India with a price lower than Rs 30 per kg.
The importers and retailers in
India are awaiting for the official confirmation from Indian authorities about
this gesture from neighbors. Some of the
aam aadmi customers and shop owners in market have switched to their TV sets to
know latest update about this deal because this will have a lot impact on
Indian retail market, and expected to compete with future WalMart stores in
onion segment.
One of the hard-core fans of Congress
party from Hyderabad said that he is expecting his party spokes- person Renuka
Chowdhary or Manish Tiwary to address the press conference in all Indian
languages with some Chinese translation with expectation that this economic deal
is bound to bridge the gaps that were hampered on Chinese military incursion
into Indian Territory.
Initially these Chinese onions are
expected to sell in Congress-ruled states, however, other states are open to accept
it or not. Some of the secret sources are indicating that Delhi Chief Minister
Sheila Dixit has already ordered 100 huge containers of onions to bring down the
anger of aam aadmi on her administrative abilities.
Economic experts like Baritya Ben
said extending Chinese hand at this crucial period when Indian vegetable markets
is struggling with onion prices is truly commendable and he personally appealed
everyone to welcome the first container with big garlands.
Some of the stock brokers from
Mumbai have already leaked this information to their clients and encouraging them
to get involved in this onion trade that will help them to expand their
business in Chinese mainland in future.
Everything was going fine until a
scientist from Gujarath said the Chinese onions will have some plastic elements.
Reacting to this sharply, Congress people said Gujarathi people are always
blaming Congress whenever they want to do some good to common man or in the
interest of nation.
Social media people who are
following this onion deal closely have successfully contacted the Chinese businessman
on Skype. In this interaction, the Chinese businessman honestly accepted about
the plastic content, but also said this is permissible in India and it does not
harm Indians consumers because their eating habits have changed a lot in the
last 10 years where they are eating some western junk food without any trouble
or hygiene problems.
The Chinese businessman also proudly
said that while cutting these onions people will not get any tears from their
eyes.
