Diggy's Cricketing Skills On Telangana

In the game of cricket taking singles is considered as crucial and plays a vital role while chasing a huge and impossible task, but naturally the coach and captain will continuously send their strategies through drinks carrier hiding the sense of worst defeat in their history.

If the person at the crease happened to be an experienced all-rounder then we can expect some unorthodox skills which may confuse the swinging audience at every ball. The intention of such kind of batsman would be to take singles regularly, rotate the strike, hit the loose ball to boundary with the hope of reducing the loosing margin and bring some real frustration in bowling side.

Now at this last stage of Telangana politics, the position of all-rounder and last known batsman of the Congress team has been filled by Digvijaya Singh (Diggy), the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh who is well noted for sledging. Citing an injury, the previous batsmen Azad was brought back to dressing room to have some pain treatment from party’s physiotherapist Renuka Chowdhary.

As soon as Diggy stepped into Andhra Pradesh, he started taking singles with the intention to keep the score board tickling to impress their captain Sonia Gandhi. Recently held T-Cong leaders meet at Nizam College grounds was like hitting a boundary after a long time and regular meets with Telangana and Seemandhra Congress leaders during nights is nothing short of taking singles with the help of fixed umpires.

The body language of Diggy is clearly visible that he is playing with a strategy to cover the face in to-be held Panchayat elections as well as avoid humiliating defeat that is bound to hamper their prospects in the knock-out 2014 schedule.

The high-light of the match was from skipper Sonia Gandhi, who lost her wicket for a brilliant run-out made by TRS leader with a throw from boundary line that hit mid-wicket directly on the first shot she ever played.

Surprisingly this much-talked wicket exposed the un-holy fixing nexus between the umpire, the TDP president Chandra Babu Naidu (CBN) and Congress party. CBN was caught red-handed on camera who tried his best to pronounce Sonia Gandhi as not-out with his puzzling gestures.

If we recall the earlier incidents, we know that the opening batsmen P. Chidambaram was out without moving into double digit score, his partner Rosiah at other end was successful for some time, but lost to a simple catch taken by Osmania students at slips.

The third and most reliable batsman of the team chasing was Pranab Mukarjee who stopped the fall of wickets for quite some time in partnership with a new debutant K. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was luckily promoted as match player from the list of probables.

But suddenly the change of strategy on Telangana politics from skipper Sonia Gandhi cost the wicket of Pranab who left the ground for a simple catch with anticipation of becoming head of the game as a veteran player. The next experienced batsmen A. K. Antony was out for duck.

In anticipation of moving the score-board, world-known batsman Man Mohan Singh tried every shot in  his armoury he could, but failed to take even a single during the tight bowling and fielding by T-employees with a newly discovered ‘Sakala Janula Samme’ style of bowling, which confirmed the winning side with huge margin. The supporters of Telangana were overjoyed on this sort of tight spell and recall this episode as turning point in this on-going series.

Losing his temper, Mr. Man Mohan Sigh thrown his bat away and ran quickly into pavilion to have some ‘garam, garam Chai’ and strategic session with vice-captain. The other standing umpire Narasimhan was at his best in showing his loyalty to skipper, who got this opportunity for the first time.

The newly arrived Shinde hit couple of sixes in two successive balls in haste but failed to continue and luckily survived a fixing decision from sold-out umpire CBN. Shinde’s partner Azad tried all his mischievous old tricks on the crease but failed to move completely stalled scoreboard, distancing the impossible task of chasing huge score.

With this kind of chasing the end-result of the match has been confirmed in the form demerging Andhra Pradesh but we Telangana people are curious to see how Digvijaya Singh will play his last match in the to-be knocked out Congress team from Indian politics.

I am strongly sense that this maverick Digvijaya to show his popular skill of dividing the opposite team in the name of worship to create some internal trouble and expected to lure not so active AIMIM members to disturb the on-going Telangana statehood march as much as possible.

In addition to this, Digvijaya may call his team members to abandon the match with some hilarious statements like this stadium is the property of Congress and we are allowing others to play and hold the right to dictate the winners. Moreover, everyone knows the capability of Congress tail-enders who were known for their outstanding skills similar to deck of cards falling.

Though the outcome of the match has been decided, I am eagerly waiting for the entry of newly anointed vice-captain Rahul Gandhi at the edge of defeat to entertain the crowd with the some fantastic acrobatic skills and shots, who has an outstanding zero performance track record in the domestic matches but amazingly celebrity status just for practising at nets.

I wish my fellow brethren to keep focus on the on-going match with new enthusiasm and try all possible methods to keep check on the every move of Digvijaya Singh and ensure that he walks out of crease with biggest embarrassment of his life.
