Ignorance or Intention

History should be presented as it is for the benefit of future and healthy society.

I have few points to raise on today's articles published in Namasthe Telangana titled “Telangana Manduthunna Nippu, written by Dr. Kasim.

I am really glad to read this article that has tried to cover the prevailing issues in Telangna (TG) with the time period of more than 80yrs. Where the writer was narrating about the documentary.

While I was reading the article, I was struck at few points which I feel were not given the same of kind of tone that was given to some other points in the article, was it ignorance, lack of information, twisting or hiding the reality.

Through this comment I would like to present my points.

The fifth paragraph of the article starts with mentioning brave revolt of Girijans against Kakatiya's kingdom in the wake of demand to celebrate Kakatiya rulers 800yrs anniversary, and says revolt was secret till now and was covered successfully in the said document.

Here I was struck, was the bravery of Sammakka and Sarakka was secret, hope writer knows more than common man, still people of TG region conduct Asia's biggest tribal fair for every two years in remembrance of their bravery. It was never a secret, in fact the then King (Prathaparudra) himself ordered his men to assist in the arrangements in conducting a tribal fair.

In the next paragraph, writer seem to be speaking about the incidents that took place between 1940-50. He mentioned about deaths of Doddi Komaraiah and Bandhagi. But he failed to mention who killed these two sons of the soil. In the earlier paragraph he alleged Kakatiya kings killing Girijans, but why writer failed here in saying the Nizam's police who were in the premises of Visnoor Deshmukh opened fire and killed them.

Later writer brands Sardar Vallabhai Patel as RSS man and questions Indian army 'Police Action' to integrate Hyderabad state into India. I am more confused in the manner writer tried to portray Patel and Indian army. Hope the writer knows that during 1948 RSS was a banned organisation and it was imposed by then Indian Home Ministry none other than Patel, who was member of Congress, an arch rival of RSS.

India is proud of Patel, as he integrated more than 600 small and big kingdoms of the nation when British tried to play cruel politics in the name of liberating kings. Hope writer also knows the Nizam on the division of India and Pakistan. Nizam openly said in his speeches that he and his kingdom will never integrate with India and want to go along with Pakistan. Even he went on to demand a separate road from Hyderabad state to Pakistan via Maharashtra, Rajastan into Pakistan.

Writer says 4000 people were killed by Razaakars and Indian army. He says common man along with Communists were killed on visibility. Moreover, he says Indian army's atrocities are greater than brutal killings happened in Nizam rule at Bhairanpally and Gundrampalli. He even says no one covered these incidents so far.

When speaking about the TG everyone expects the history of this region should be visible as it was, not with any blurred image.

In this way I doubt the tone of writer where he failed to point the same finger on Nizam as he did on Kakatiya rulers.

I really appreciate rest of the article.
